High School/ Middle School SUMMER SCHOOL LIST - UNDER RESOURCES TAB

The 2017-2018 school year proved that school counselors are an essential part of any school community. Throughout the year we helped our students in countless ways from transitioning to college, battling mental illness, and relieving anxiety. For these reasons BCSCA finds it important to celebrate our outstanding counselors and those who help along the way. The June awards ceremony was a beautiful, inspiring night hosted by Fortis Institute.

BCSCA was fortunate to be hosted by outstanding colleges and universities this year from all over the country at beautiful venues.  Some are old friends of BCSCA such as Berkeley College, Fortis institute, Eastwick College, Bergen Community College,  and Fusion Academy, who all shared their exciting new programs . New hosts such as Michigan University, Fordham University, Mount Saint Vincent, and Hobart and William Smith Colleges introduced us to their campuses and educated us on more to offer our students.  A special thank you to all of our sponsors. We hope to see them again soon.

BCSCA was able to provide some quality professional development. Learning about the services from Hearts and Crafts and Narcotics Anonymous. The K-8 Cohort was visited by Division of Family Guidance, West Bergen Mental Health, Meaningful Directions, Everfi, and Reflections. A special thank you to Marnie Ross and Vanessa DeJesus who do an outstanding job running this thriving group.

A special thank you to our executive board who works tirelessly on behalf to make BCSCA one of the biggest and best professional organizations in New Jersey.

Wishing our retirees good luck on their future endeavors…
